A pickup carries the piece back, and a replacement size dispatches from Lucknow. A prepaid order can take a refund to the original payment method instead, settled once quality check clears.
Shwet Heritage dispatches its own work from Lucknow. No marketplace sits between the workshop and your address, so every window on this page is a commitment the house itself keeps.
Dispatch
Every order confirms by email with an SH- reference. In-stock pieces then leave Lucknow within 1 to 2 business days.
Delivery
We deliver free across India, and every order carries live tracking. Checkout accepts an Indian delivery address, a 6-digit PIN code and a 10-digit Indian mobile number.
Live tracking means the courier scan trail itself, not a status word we type in. Your order page shows each scan as the parcel is picked up in Lucknow, moves through the network and reaches your city, so the position you read is the position the courier last recorded.
The price you see
Prices on this site include GST, and delivery within India costs nothing, so the figure on the product page is the figure you pay. Nothing is added at the last step.
The rate follows the garment. Apparel is taxed at 5% up to the statutory ₹2,500 of sale value, which is ₹2,625 once the tax is inside the price, and at 18% above it. A piece either side of that line therefore carries a different rate on the same shelf, which is the law rather than a house decision, and the order breakup names the rate applied to each line.
Where we do not deliver
Checkout serves addresses in India only. There is no country selector, no overseas rate and no customs paperwork, because a promise the house cannot keep is worse than a limit stated plainly. If you are abroad and want a piece sent to an Indian address, order to that address in the ordinary way.
Exchanges
A piece that does not fit goes back for a replacement size. Ask from your order page within 7 days of delivery, or write to support@shwetheritage.in or message us on WhatsApp quoting the SH- reference, and we arrange a pickup for the unworn piece with its tags intact.
The surest exchange is the one you never need. The size guide publishes laid-flat measurements for every size, and we share the exact measurements of any piece on WhatsApp before you order.
Refunds
Where you would rather have a refund, prepaid orders are refunded to the original payment method once the returned piece reaches Lucknow and clears quality check. The money then reaches your account in 5 to 7 business days, depending on your bank. We pay for the return pickup. Nothing is deducted from your refund.
If a piece arrives wrong
Damage in transit, a piece that is not the one you ordered, or a fault in the making are not size questions and are not counted against the 7 days. Write to support@shwetheritage.in with the SH- reference and photographs of the piece and the packaging as soon as you open it, and keep both until we have replied.
Hand embroidery is not machine output, and the difference is not a fault. Knot size varies across a panel, a motif sits a fraction differently on two pieces cut from the same bolt, and a hand-worked edge is not ruled. What is worked by hand carries the hand, and the product page names the stitches so you can see what you are buying before it arrives.
Cancelling instead
An order that has not yet been handed to the courier can be cancelled outright rather than exchanged, which is faster than sending a piece back across the country. The cancellation policy sets out the window and what happens to money already paid.
Questions, answered
- What counts as unworn?
- Unworn means tried on for size, nothing more, with every tag still attached. The exchange covers pieces that return the way they arrived, so keep the tags in place until the size is settled.
- Can a cash on delivery order be refunded?
- A refund returns money to the payment method an order was placed with, so refunds apply to prepaid orders. A cash on delivery piece that does not fit goes back for a replacement size instead, within the same 7 days of delivery.
- Do you ship outside India?
- No. Checkout takes Indian addresses only, with a 6-digit PIN code and a 10-digit Indian mobile number. We would rather say so here than take an order the house cannot fulfil.
- Who pays to send a piece back?
- We pay for the return pickup. Nothing is deducted from your refund.
- Is GST added at checkout?

- What if nobody is home when the courier arrives?
- The courier attempts delivery again and records each attempt on the scan trail your order page shows. If the attempts run out, write to support@shwetheritage.in with the SH- reference and we take it up with the courier ourselves.
