Naram Peach Pintuck Mandarin Kurta
Naram means soft, which is both the peach of this cambric kurta and the hand of the cloth itself. Shailendri hand embroidered it in Lucknow in crisp white thread, tepchi lines, phanda knots and keel points running between rows of pressed pintucks. A mandarin collar and button placket keep it sharp for work, knee length with side slits.

- Phanda (knot)Tight millet-seed knots placed one by one to build jasmine buds and flower centres.
- Keel KanganKeel sets the pointed flower centre. Kangan rings it like a bangle around the motif.
- Tepchi (running)The swift running stitch laid along the printed motif, the ground on which every other stitch is built.
