Sandal Beige Chanderi Saree
Meena laid no bare running line under this saree's motifs and worked nothing from the reverse, so the drawing arrives on the face: pechni wrapped into a cord, chana patti in threes along a creeper, keel points inside kangan rings, phanda tying the buds. Sandal is sandalwood, beige in ground and thread, 5.5 metres of Chanderi, 115–120 GSM, hand embroidered in Lucknow, and the blouse piece measures 80 cm.

The stitches
- Chana Patti (gram leaf)Gram-leaf trios scattered along creepers, small leaves in threes.
- Keel KanganKeel sets the pointed flower centre. Kangan rings it like a bangle around the motif.
- Pechni (twisted wrap)Tepchi wrapped over with thread into a raised, spiralled cord.
- Phanda (knot)Tight millet-seed knots placed one by one to build jasmine buds and flower centres.
How to wear it
- The phanda knots and the pechni cord sit above the cloth. Set the pleats through bare ground and keep the pin clear of both.
- Ground and thread are one beige, so the blouse decides whether a second colour enters at all. Cloth for it is included and measures 80 cm.
- Chanderi at 115–120 GSM has weight to it, so the pallu falls in deep folds and stays where it is put on the shoulder, through a wedding that runs late.
